Countdown to Kickoff. . .
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer events kick off in less than a month with the Washington, DC walk on May 1st & 2nd. Good luck, good health and good weather wishes to all participants in this first Walk of 2004!
Of our hundreds, if not thousands, of registered walkers, there are 6 people who are making the effort to walk all 6 scheduled Avon events. One of those who I have been privileged to "meet" is Alyssa Keene. The Boston Herald recently ran a story about athletes and their motivation, and she's featured alongside a marathon runner and an Olympic swimmer . . . everyone should read this.
