Attention all Jersey Girls/Jersey Guys:
I have (finally) finished my "template" for the "NJ Pink Power Play" letter campaign I announced on the Avon Walk Message Board last month.
After talking with my brother, who has worked with many of the people we will be contacting, he feels that one of the ways we will have a great deal of impact is to represent ourselves as a team. I think this is a great idea for many reasons, including the fact that if we form a "loose team" we can blitz our local media (newspapers, radio & TV) together, while if we are an "official team" (i.e. - searchable on the Avon Walk site), we will have a recognizeable presence here where donors may make general gifts.
If you are interested in getting involved, and in forming a team, whether it's official or unofficial, you need to e-mail me at lizzywednesday@yahoo.com. If the link doesn't work for you, please use "Jersey Girls/Jersey Guys Team Power Play" as your subject line when you e-mail me separately.
In the meantime, I will be building a distribution list with the e-mail addresses I already have. I will send you all a copy of the letter template this evening; as new folks contact me, I will e-mail you separately as well.
