I Hate This Disease!
Nancy from work died during the weekend of July 21st.
Our entire office was hit pretty hard, since we didn't hear until Monday of last week. . . and then we had so many raw emotions to handle that it was hard to face the inevitable "what can I do?" questions that always come up.
I helped to organize an e-mail to folks to allow them to express their grief and help other families affected by breast cancer. We've provided information about donating to the American Cancer Society (and their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks each October), the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and my own commitment to the Avon Walks.
We're doing our best to take a negative and make it a positive, even though it hurts a LOT.
In the meantime, everybody'd better crank up the Alice Cooper tunes for Nancy. She's listening.
