Sweet and Sticky Truths

The 3M Company, makers of Super Sticky Post-It notes and lots of tape, announced on 31 August 2004 that its recent world's largest pink ribbon campaign had reached its goal of 75,000 signatures - and $75,000 donation for the City of Hope Cancer Centers - has been reached. The ribbon will be unveiled and on display during the first week of October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month - so if you're planning to come out and cheer for the Avon Walk participants, take a trip down to Times Square to take a gander at the ribbon.

I wonder if you'll be able to see my name. . .

Also, you may have seen them last year, or in the grocery store again this year. Masterfoods, who owns M&M's, is running its pink and white M&M's donation program again this October, November and December. The donation is to be no less than $250,000 up to $650,000. That figures out to be 1.3 million 8 oz. bags of M&M's.

Hey, who doesn't need another excuse to buy chocolate, right?
