Thank You!

This is a big, huge, warm "thank you" to my wonderful coworkers who came out to purchase a pink ribbon today at the craft fair.

Because of your enthusiasm and generosity, I was able to raise $25 today and do my part to raise awareness a little bit by handing out my "fast facts" on the cards pinned to my ribbons.

I'll post more about this tomorrow with the two-day total. =)

One Down. . . 5 To Go. . .

Well, the 2004 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - Washington, DC is now complete.

According to our phoned updates, there were over 2,000 walkers who raised $5.2 MILLION in the fight against breast cancer! Woo-hoo!

Go DC!

There are a few folks who are walking in all 6 AWBC events. Tom A. has posted digital pics of DC at his site. . . click here to see them. Great pics, great job!

Countdown to Boston: 12 Days
Countdown to Chicago: 33 Days

Also, for those of you in NJ, here are my next 2 Get Ready Walks:

Sunday, May 16th; Rutgers Student Center, New Brunswick, NJ
We meet at 8:45am in front of the Rutgers Student Center to stretch and get some coffee at Au Bon Pain (ABP). The route will take us around campus and then through Highland Park, NJ. Bathrooms will be fewer and further between than any walks down the shore, but I hope to get us a good 4-5 mile walk with a couple of good-sized hills.

Sunday, May 30th; Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, North Wildwood, NJ
We meet at 8:45am at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse in North Wildwood, NJ. We will walk from the Light all the way to the end of the Wildwood Boardwalk and back. . . giving us a loop of about 5 FLAT miles. It's along the beach, with plenty of bathrooms up and down the Boardwalk, and a great way to remember to keep training because October will be here quicker than you think!

Please click on the date to e-mail me to RSVP for either walk; the subject line has already been filled in for you.
