Enough With the Slacking Already!
The next steps I will be taking towards this year's AWBC-NYC are:
(1) Setting up a REGULAR training schedule. Although I'm enthusiastic that one 14-mile day last week in the Wildwoods didn't leave me dehydrated, achy and miserable, I'm not putting in enough mileage to get to October. Fortunately, my training schedule is already spelled out for me in the Participant Handbook.
(2) Sending out my first mailing. I've been such a procrastinator this year, but I think I finally found the right words to write the mailer, maybe using my "what did I learn" recap from the actual event in the body of my letter.
(3) Working with all the people who supported me last year to make this year GREAT.
That said, Matt promised me that we'd take a walk tonight if it's not thunderstorming. I hope it doesn't; I want to take a walk! =)
