Training

On Sunday, I've got plans to team up with a walking group in NYC. The total route is going to be approximately 10 miles, at a pace of about 3-4 mph.

I'm very excited for this first test, especially considering the fact that I've never timed or really tried to gauge the distance of my walks before, but I believe I will be able to do this. . . or at least half of it.

I have to remember to stretch and to listen to my body. . .I'm inclined to tough it out, but that leads to injury and crankiness! I'm also planning to do some yoga after I get home to soothe any angry muscles.

Countdown to the Event: 239 days.
Fundraising total: 25% ($455) . . . I don't have an official deadline for pledges yet, but I'm trying my very best to have all of them in by September 15th.
